YBC's second networking and social
of 2007 was a good, fun time for
everyone on Thursday, July 19.
YBC members and guests gathered
in the back room of Uncle Bo's
along Kapahulu Avenue to
celebrate the summer.
And who can forget that ono menu
of Uncle Bo's dynamite shrimp,
Thai-style steamer clams, grilled
chicken wings among others?

YBC’s Wine Tasting Event on Wednesday, April 25
featuring Master Sommelier Roberto Viernes had
something for everyone. And even if you didn't drink
wine, you still got to sample the grinds from Chef David
Hamada and the talented culinary staff at Kapiolani
Community College.
Roberto talked about the different wines available that
evening, including Melville Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills,
Cep Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, Costa d'Oro Gold Cost and
Vineyard Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley.
And the menu read like a decadent international buffet
with items such as smoke salmon, Mandarin sesame duck
breast, grilled pork loin with sweet Ewa onion au jus with
mango salsa.
